It had sold about 36000 copies after another 2 weeks. Billboard 200 with about 16000 copies sold within the 1st week. The album Live in The Kitchen was ranked number 12 on the U.S. The Look In The Mirror single was released in 2010 and is ranked 97th on the U.S. The album has a single 5 Star which had been released in 2009 and it peaked at the 79th position on the Hot 100 list and 19th on the U.S.
Otherwise you can stay the fuck away from this project.Gotti released his major-label debut album Live From The Kitchen in 2012 on January 10th. It’s really only worth listening to if you have an ass load of time on your hands. There were some really good songs on here. If he talked about the negative effects it had on his life that woulda been cool. I don’t give a fuck how good you are at cookin’ dope I ain’t buyin’ shit.
I also don’t need to hear crack promotion. I don’t wanna hear you make a song about some chick. I want to hear about the struggle that you came from. He tried to make emotional songs a few times, but a lot of times it just came off as corny. “On the real nigga scale 1-10 you a zero.” Jeezy did his thing. This beat sounds like a generic DJ Mustard beat. I would never call this a good song, but I like it for some reason. If you’re into trap music you know what I mean. If you like trap music, you’ll like this. He still sayin’ “Ah oh wah”, but it sounds a lot better here than it did on the intro. “Aaaahhooohhhhhwaahhhhh!” He’s supposed to be sayin’ “I don’t want it.” The hook is actually dope tho. This kinda song works for Wale, but Yo Gotti can’t really pull somethin’ like this off. That nigga Ne-Yo be singin’ like a motherfucker.
Track 11: Respect That You Earn Feat. Ne-Yo & Wale (Prod. “She open her legs up happily / I ball hard like a athlete.” That’s what I’m talkin’ about when I call Yo Gotti’s bars generic. T.I.’s bars were way better than Yo Gotti’s generic shit. He definitely stole the show from Yo Gotti. He ain’t sayin’ shit, but he doin’ a good job of flowin’ over the beat. It’s way better than the last few tracks tho. He’s trying to show emotion in this song, but it just comes off as corny. He talks about how he’s fuckin’ a bunch of hoes in the beginning of his first verse, but then talks about being hurt when he sees pictures of other guys in his girl’s phone. I guess this is an attempt at being deep again. Meek Mill had a much better verse than Yo Gotti, but it still wasn’t very good.
It’s got a lazy ass hook, uninteresting beat, generic ass flow, and offensive and lazy bars from Yo Gotti. Yo gotti decided to throw some autotune on his voice, even though all he ever says with it is “uh.” This shit is boring af. “You ain’t fuckin’ you ain’t suckin’ what you doin’ ho?” The way he speaks to women in this song feels like a slap in the face after seeing that Don’t Come Around video.
I can just imagine a house full of white kids fist pumping to this shit with they middle fingers up. This might be one of the most ignorant songs I’ve ever heard. “I like different type of bitches I’m sorry / I could never be committed and I’m sorry.” He should be sorry for makin’ this song. Sure, the producer’s name threw me off a little, but I didn’t really think it mattered. I thought this woulda been one of the deeper, more introspective songs on the album. Even the beat is nothing special honestly. The only good part of this song is the beat. He sounds like he’s strugglin’ to get his bars out. Rich Homie Quan sounds awful on this shit.
